David Rees

Biography MathSciNet

M.A. University of Cambridge UnitedKingdom
Dissertation: His only doctorate is his DSc, which is awarded for published papers. So he never had a PhD supervisor. The reason for that is that the second world war interrupted his studies. Because he started graduate work in Cambridge in the autumn of 1939. Within months he had been moved by the British government to work at Bletchley Park, where they were working to break the German code.
