The main objective of this thesis is to study the polynomial best approximation operator to functions in Orlicz-Lorentz spaces Λw,φ, and then to consider its extension to functions living in the larger space Λw,φ', where w is a nonnegative continuous weight function and φ' is the derivative of φ.
